1.) Appearance vs. Reality means that appearance is only a sterotype vs reality. Reality is the ture image of things

2.)Rationality vs. Superstition means the rationality is reasoning and thinking of an explanation when unreasonable or excessive belief in fear or magic

3.)Sense of Guilt meaning that having a sense of guilt is one of the one things to hold on your chest and could be an burdern

Catch 22 Blog 3

1.Yes I would make the same choices as Yossarian because his choices makes much sense.No not really because the military is to powerful for one man to fight.The cause i would fight for is my life.

2.I feel that he is saying the we only have the freedom to say what we don't want to do.I disagree because you have the right to do what you want when you want. A example is saying no to cigarettes.I compare because you have the right to say no to anything you dont want to.

3. The effect the rapid shifts between the base and the hospital, and between Pianosa and Rome, have on the presentation of the story is kind of cool because it like you are time traveling and you dont know what happen until the character tell you. Each location represent the mood of each moment the happens in the book.

Catch 22

A)The difference between the two conversation was Yossarians and Orr conversation was about when they were younger and thing they use to do during childhood. They also talked about how Clevinger was still missing. Clevinger and Yossarians conversation was were always arguments. For instance when Yossarian had thought that everyone was trying to kill him, when Clevinger argued that no one was trying to kill him personally.So far i think the other characters think Yossarian thinks the world is against him and that he is always fleeing duty.Conversely Yossarian feels that's every ones out to kill him.


C)"Insanity is contagious. This is the only sane ward in the whole hospital. Everybody is crazy but us." I think this means the whole ward in the hospital is insane that it is so easy for any one to catch it. The crazy thing about it is Yossarians shows many signs of being insane like when he thinks everyone is trying to shoot him not knowing that's what you are supposed to do in a war.


D)I agree because he thinks he is better than everyone and that everyone should or is a Jehovah.

The Superstition of School/ Paradox and Dream

The Superstition of School Chesterton talks about the snags in education. He speaks about the educated thinks far too much of education. That if you are educated why spend so much time explaining to yourself how educated you are. He Also speaks about the half-educated always think everything of education. The paradox is that we don’t really need education but because the way the world is that’s the only way we could survive.

Paradox and Dream Steinbeck talks about the way we overindulge on the things we are fortune to have. This particular paradox that caught my attention was as Americans we are self-reliant but at the same time completely dependent. As Americans we have the easy way out for instance, the store, cars, free education. Also the way technology is growing as Steinbeck said we are wanting more for our self as well as the next generation is more than what we can handle.

Shwayze's Crazy LIife

My house not very different from other houses but it has a little originality of its own. My house is a khaki colored one story house with flowers around it. My house has a white fence around it with an opening for our driveway. My front door has a screen door that is white that covers our main door. In the inside of my house is 4 bedroom home, two baths, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and a extended family room. My house is very quiet it smells like mango Glade air freshener.

I was born on September 7, 1990. I don’t remember much about this day but what new born does. There are many things I have forgotten and a lot of this I do remember. For instance in 1996 I was six years old when I learned how to ride a bike. I first learned how to ride my bike in the backyard of my old house. My brother taught me how to ride. I was very nerves and scared that I was going to hurt myself but I continued to practice and I finally got the hang of it.

September 11, 2001 was a very horrifying for me and others. On this day in New York City was the bombing of the twin tower. The bombing took the lives of many which cause the country to come together as one. I remember this event because I was in elementary and my teacher told the class the bad news.

2003 was the year I graduated from Junior High School. It was a short ceremony but I remember it very well. I can remember sitting and waiting to hear “We give you the first class of 2003 to graduate from a combine middle school.” I was very happy but yet nerves to know soon I will be starting high school.

In 2005 I spent my summer in St. Louis, Missouri. I spent that time with cousins and my grandparents. I toured the city, shopped, and also did a lot of swimming. I also got to go to a family reunion and met a lot of family members that I did know.

The year of change, 2008 the year that I will plan how I’m going to spend the rest of my life. Also the year that I become eighteen and have a right to vote. This year is my senior year in high school the year I highly anticipated. The year of growing, leaning, and getting involved.
There are many goals I have set for the school year and the rest of my life. One goal is to pay attention and take in whatever someone tells me that can help me in the future. Second goal is to never say I can’t because I know I can do anything if I put my mind do it. Third is to aim toward the future and leave the past behind. Goals for my life is to stay in the right lane, stay focus, and reach for the stars.
